Mr. Sun started practicing law in 1993. He participated in the "China Young Lawyers Training Program" jointly organized by the PRC Ministry of Justice and the UK government from June 1996 to June 1997, first studying at SOAS of London University and then in a top city firm and a barrister’s chamber.

He has provided legal services for UNILEVER, BASF, REHAU, Fujian Industrial Bank, Huaxia Bank, Zhangjiang Group, Zhangjiang Hi-tech，Furi Electronics，Farglory Group，Fujian Industrial Investment Management, Pudong Government，Pudong Planning Bureau, Pudong Financial Bureau and other Multinational enterprises, state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and government agencies.
