Ms. Lanbo Yang is the head of Healthcare and Life Sciences Department and head of Data Compliance Department of Hengtai.
Before joining Hengtai, Ms. Lanbo Yang served as the Senior Director at the Legal Department of Medtronic China and the head of the Legal and Compliance Department of Gilead Sciences China. Besides, Lanbo worked for well-known European and US law firms, accumulating over 20 years of professional legal and industry experience.
Lanbo has a good understanding of business and specializes in providing effective legal service, including patent and technology licensing, collaboration between healthcare professionals and companies, multi-brand strategic partnerships, anti-commercial bribery compliance, investigations and remediation, anti-monopoly compliance in distribution channels, advertising compliance, acquisition, corporate governance, and labor and employment.
In the field of anti-monopoly compliance practice, while working at Medtronic, Lanbo played a leading role in response to the National Development and Reform Commission's anti-monopoly investigation on Medtronic-- the first anti-monopoly investigation case in the medical device industry.
Regarding data compliance practice, Lanbo has provided a wide range of legal service, including cybersecurity and data compliance evaluation; personal information protection impact assessment, outbound transfer of personal information, personal information processing compliance; data outbound transfer compliance; human genetic resources information compliance.
Lanbo continues to study and publish professional research results based on her practical experience, and has now published in collaboration with Wolters Kluwer a collection of articles such as “Data Compliance Practical Guide (2024 Edition)”, “Data Compliance Practical Guide for Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Companies (2024 Edition)” and articles regarding compliance on data outbound transfer, compliance on personal information processing, compliance on healthcare data, compliance on human genetic resources, compliance on advertising of pharmaceutical and medical device companies, etc.
