Mr. Li was responsible for negotiation of all kinds of contracts, compliance review, IP and HR related legal matters at the Legal Department of Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), and participated in the negotiation for the preparation of China Europe International Exchange (CEINEX) as the representative of SSE. He also served as the General Counsel of China Financial Information Center, which is directly affiliated to Xinhua News Agency. At this position, he was responsible for the compliance risk control, negotiations, public relationship, and operation and management of commercial real properties, and advised the major investments made by China Financial Information Center, including the equity participation and establishment of Shanghai Insurance Exchange (SHIE), Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange (SHCPE), and the Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS).

Mr. Li's current practice areas mainly focus on corporate governance and corporate compliance risk control, corporate investment, financing and capital market, and complex business dispute resolution.

In 2017, Mr. Li won the nomination award for "Lujiazui Top Ten Returned Elite".
